About JEHH Memorial Fund

Our mission is dedicated to helping young people accomplish their dreams by providing financial assistance, mentoring and opportunities for young people pursuing interests in sports, music and the arts.

Our Why

Every child should be given the opportunity to follow his or her dreams. Sometimes that right is hindered by the harsh realities of life, such as financial burdens and lack of opportunities. By removing these obstacles and providing them with the means to chase and realize their dreams, the Fund aims to elevate children to becoming contributing members of their community.

Through fundraising initiatives, corporate support, and public donations, the Fund will provide financial assistance to young people in areas critical to success including health, education, life skills, and empowerment.

The Fund is a living legacy to Jill and the love, passion, and determination she demonstrated while CHASING HER DREAMS.

About jill

Jill’s dreams started to form at an early age. She imagined building a home full of family, love, and laughter. But always the dreamer, Jill’s future also included hopes of being in the NBA.  While, she never put on the uniform, Jill turned her love of basketball into a career working in the home office for the NBA.

In 2008, Jill met, fell in love, and started building a life with her soulmate, Joe. They were married one year later and soon found out they were expecting a baby boy, putting Jill within reach of her personal dreams. 

But tragically, when Jill was only 33 years old and 8 ½ months pregnant, she died unexpectedly. Undiagnosed Stage 4 colon cancer took the lives of both Jill and her son, Chase.

Today, Jill is fondly remembered as a beloved family member and treasured friend whose kindness, sense of humor and zest for life continues to inspire others to achieve their dreams.
